The Secretary-General has Today, Friday 4 September 2020 strongly condemn the attack on civilians in a village hosting internally displaced persons in the Far North Region of Cameroon. The suicide bomb attack that took place on Tuesday, this week led to the death of at least seven civilians and wounded 14 several other persons.
This terrified attack comes up just a month after series of attacks which led to the death of 18 people and 15 injured by an armed group attack against a site for internally Displaced people in the same area on the 2nd of August, 2020.
Report has it that, the United Nations Cameroon on their facebook page, wrote, ''Those responsible for these atrocities must be held accountable. International human rights laws and international humanitarian laws must be respected and all civilians in Cameroon must be protected.
