In any other country, those words supposedly from an opposition leader echoed by what is suppose to be non-partisan elections management body would have made no news, but in Cameroon it has sent social media into a frenzy Hundreds of users were quick to take to the comment section of ELECAM’s Facebook page to express shock, surprise, disbelief and some even insinuate the accaount was hacked at the late night message from the agency. For an election agency which has been heavily criticized by Cameroonians for lacking in neutrality in managing elections in the country as most of its members are former Senior officials of the ruling CPDM, sharing a message about truth and fate from a troublesome opposition figure out of an election season is simply unimaginable.
