The new prison infrastructure is located in Ngoma, Doula 5 Subdivision
The minister of justice announced in September 2015 the construction of a new prison infrastructure- the prison which is now under construction with the aim to fight against overcrowded inmates in the prison
Report has it that, the government thought it wise to start the prison construction immediately because of the rampant increase in inmates into prison areas in the country
But criticisms all over saying, the government should rather concentrate on building the Cameroonian economy and solving the Anglophone crisis not investing in projects like the construction of prison houses
