Nasty C has unleashed a teaser of what we assume to be new music from his upcoming third studio album, Zulu Man With Some Power. This is the same album that he confirmed to us has the likes of T.I on the features so to say that it is highly anticipated is no understatement. Yesterday the SMA hitmaker dropped a teaser of a song he dubbed That’s Hard.
The high energy Trap song is similar to the sound that we have heard from the rapper before however, there is something tangibly different about the approach. The menacing bass and jittery hi-hats, although carrying Nasty C’s youthful energy, sounds more commercial, more concerned with global trends. This is not far removed from what we’ve known Nasty for in previous years but with each song he releases, he moves a little further away from the sound we fell in love with on Prize City.
The responses to the snippet have been largely positive with fans reiterating that they are looking forward to the entire album, let along That’s Hard.
“Dude is probably the most diverse hip hop artist I have come across. Big LOVE IvySon,” one fan commented. While a majority of the fans loved the song, most were honestly wondering when the album will be dropping.
The rapper is currently in Los Angeles putting the final touches on his album and has been photographed with the creme de la creme of Hollywood. Looks like 2020 is about to get real for SA Hip Hop. Are we ready?
