The governors of the ten regions of Cameroon kicked start a two days meeting that began yesterday in Yaoundé, the capital city of Cameroon chaired by the minister of territorial administration, the sectary general in charge of the National Gendarmerie and the delegate of National security which are expected to each deliver a talk in the course of the meeting.

Witnesses recounts that the meeting comes In a time when most regions of Cameroon are facing high insecurity challenges in regards to the Anglophone crisis which keeps their hearts panting day by day.

The conference took place at Yaoundé city council with the top issues to be discussed being the upcoming December 6th regional elections and security measures ahead of the end of year celebrations. Meanwhile During the meeting, the minister of territorial administration, Atanga Nji Paul urged regional governors to maintain vigilance in the health sector in their respective areas of command, he went further saying that, the covid 19 pandemic was yet to come to an end and the need for preventive measures, his declarations follows the recent recount of new cases of the pandemic in some schools in Douala last week and added that, The is the need to fasting up security across the national territory..

 Cameroon’s first regional election will take place in 20 days. Ahead of the election, Cameroon’s election management body - ELECAM started distributing voter identification cards on Monday, November 16, 2020 at ELECAM’s Divisional Agencies.
