Thousands Turnout  to vote despite growing tensions. In the Central African Republic, part of the population vote, despite multiple politico-military incidents in recent weeks.

Candidate for his own succession and announced favorite, President Archange Touadéra was keen to organize these elections on Sunday, against the advice of certain political opposition actors who called for the postponement of consultations.

The opposition is advancing in dispersed order, with no less than 15 candidates. François Bozizé, one of the most serious contenders, saw his candidacy invalidated and withdrew his support for ex-Prime Minister Anicet Georges Dologuélé on Sunday, calling for a boycott of the polls.
