On Tuesday June 29, 2021 , Nigeria’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Malami, said that Mr Kanu was arrested on Sunday and will continue to answer charges of 11 counts levied against him before he escaped in 2018.
Where and How was Nnamdi Kanu Arrested?
The Nigerian Government did not tell how and where the IPOB leader was arrested but said he was picked up on Sunday June 27, 2021 with the help of Interpol. However, sources close to the case say he was arrested in Kenya while other say he was handed to the Nigerian government thanks to collaboration from Czech Republic.
