You don't just apply the gel on skin and hair but also consume it regularly to reap maximum benefits. There is no denying the fact that it is filled with nutrients. However, just as a saying goes, too much of a thing is a disease, there are chances that aloe vera may not suit your body, skin, or hair, which can further lead to side effects. It causes dehydration. The laxative effects of aloe vera can as well lead to dehydration. Laxatives are generally used to alleviate constipation but should be taken in recommended quantity; however, if taken in more quantity than recommended, it may cause dehydration.


Also, it can cause birth complications to pregnant women. It is not very good for pregnant women and nursing mothers to consume aloe vera juice due to its irritant qualities. If consumed, It may result in uterine contractions in pregnant women, which may lead to birth complications. A situation that is unpleasant.
