The minister of Women Empowerment, Marie Thérèse Abena Ondoa and the family has condemned without compromising words, crimes and abuses committed against women in the North-West and South-West regions of Cameroon.
During a meeting held in September 1st, 2020 in Yaounde, the minister chaired the meeting and said," As a woman and mother that she is, such gruesome killings, weather of a man or woman must be condemned with the last energy
That the life of a human being is more precious and matters a lot and nothing justifies it should be terminated anyhow".
Minister Marie Thérèse adds that, the principal mission of her Ministry is to ensure the promotion, protection of family and rights of women . Therefore, the killings, rapes, torture, burning down of houses and so many other cruel acts, are against the objectives of her ministry.
She went further lamenting saying, the death of Comfort Tamussang killed in Muyuku South-west region, that of Treasure Mbah and Florence Ayafor in Bamenda town killed by armed men shall not go without those involved punished.
