The minister of territorial administration Paul Atanga Nji has said anyone attempting to disrupt the forthcoming regional election could face life imprisonment The minister was speaking in a press conference organized in Yaounde today September 7th 2020, hours after President Biya convened the electoral college to the polls In the hastily organized press conference, the MINAT boss outlined the strides made by Cameroon government to advance Democracy in the country before stressing that change can only come through the ballot box and not in the streets on social media. He criticized political leaders who opted for boycot, saying they must muster the courage to welcome consequences of their suicidal political decisions Without mentioning Kamto by name, the MINAT boss said the MRC leader and his supporters were freed through the magnanimity of the head of state and it was an opportunity for him to stay away from anti-republican activities He quickly added that any form of protest will take them back to square one.
