CHARLES EBUNE NDOH : ONE OF CAMEROON’S MOST INFLUENTIAL JOURNALISTS

He is a seasoned reporter, main anchor of the highly viewed TV programme Globe Watch on CRTV and Chief International Correspondent at CRTV.

Ebune Charles Ndoh was born on the 12th of July 1986. He grew up in penury but being an eager beaver and endowed with high cognitive capacity, Charles focused on his dream to become successful.

In 2003, his rare intellect enabled him to pass the GCE Ordinary Level with utter brilliance in form 4 at GHS Nguti and in 2005, obtained his Advanced Level at GHS Bokwaongo, Buea.

Charles Ebune obtained Bachelor’s Degrees and Masters in Journalism and History from the Universities of Yaoundé I and II respectively.

He was employed by the Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) in 2012 and became the youngest Journalist to anchor an international affairs programme on CRTV.

Charles Ebune has served as the Press Assistant to the Director General of Elections Cameroon

 

Charles Ebune has several awards under his belt ;

In 2013, he clinched Sonnah Awards for Best TV presenter.

In 2016, he was listed as one of the 50 most influential young Cameroonians.

On the 26th of May 2015, Charles Ebune clasped an award from the Scoop Newspaper for the Most Daring Journalist in Cameroon.

In 2017, he won the British and Canadian High commissions Good Citizenship Awards.

In 2017, Peace Media Awards recognized Charles Globe Watch as the Best TV Interview Programme in Cameroon.

He was conferred ambassador of The ICT University on August 14, 2020.

Charles Ebune is also a Fellow of the Estonian Baltic Media School Exchange Programme. An alumnus of the State Department International Visitor Leadership Programme and the Russian School of Young Media Activists.

Amongst topnotch icons interviewed by Charles Ebune are; the world’s richest black man and richest African Aliko Dangote , after his visit to the Unity Palace, erstwhile Cameroon captain Samuel Eto’o, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, US Embassy spokesperson Roberto Quiroz, the Former President of the Federation of International Football Association, the Former Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission of Nigeria, the American Ambassador to Cameroon, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Executive Director of the World Food programme, British Minister for Africa, the President of the European Union Commission, the Director General of the World Trade Organisation, the President of Switzerland, the Chairman of Heirs Holdings, Archbishop of Bangui, UNESCO Director General, US Ambassador to United Nations and the Special Advisor to the Saudi King and the President of Costa Rica.

He has also interviewed artists like P-Square, Flavour, Fally Ipupa, Manu Dibango etc.

Albeit Charles Ebune’s exploits, he remains humble and modest not forgetting where he comes from. He has been tenacious, prayerful and optimistic and his success has been overwhelming.
