After attack on headquarters, Le Jour Newspaper requests assistance

Cameroon French daily newspaper Le Jour has lamented enormous financial and material difficulties shortly after armed bandits stormed the office making away with laptops, computers and other valuables.

In a document made public by the Michel Voukeng Law Firm in collaboration with the publisher of Le Jour newspaper Haman Mana, they have called for financial assistance to re-equip the media organ.

On the night of September 22nd and 23rd, armed individuals believed to be bandits invaded the office situated at Rue CEPER in Yaounde.

The attack on media organs in Cameroon remains frequent with critics stating that most of those attacked are independent news organs that are critical of the government.
